About the Game

Pray by Letter is an epistolary tabletop role-playing game for 2 players in which you and your penfriend try to forge the future by exchanging letters.

In this world, people's futures are predetermined by an inevitable fate. However, when two people write letters with each other in their minds, these letters serve as prayers to the goddess Elmoira and create miracles that defy fate. As you exchange letters and the cycle repeats, the story of Pray by Letter unfolds.

The end of your story will be determined by the result of the Ladder of Destiny. It works similarly to Amidakuji, a common lottery system in Japan and other East Asian countries.

Your story may be a romance about relationship problems between two people from different planets, or a moral dilemma about whether to cast forbidden magic when somebody's life can be saved by doing so. Either way, this game invites you and your penfriend to cherish a memorable experience together.

This game does not require a GM or any dice. What you need is just a pencil, paper, and a letter writing set if you would like. You can also play online via text chat and any website you can draw.
